Chesapeake Bay Charters

York River Charters was voted “Best Fishing in Eastern VA” for three consecutive years! Most of our saltwater fishing charters originate on the scenic York River in Virginia, a major tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. As the Chesapeake Bay is known for it’s beauty and it’s bounty, we offer guests and residents saltwater sport fishing charters, as well as sightseeing tours and pleasure cruises. We are the only charter fishing boat contracted to dock at beautiful Riverwalk Landing on the historic Yorktown, Virginia waterfront. This makes us the fishing charter located most near Williamsburg, VA! If you would prefer an intimate, personalized Yorktown adventure for just your family or group versus being lumped with 30 other people you don’t know, we invite you to take advantage of our personalized private charters.

The charter boat Catchin’ Up II presents our guests the opportunity to have a truly customizable trip on the Chesapeake Bay of VA. For you, this may mean tailoring a saltwater fishing charter combining some bottom fishing for croaker, spot or flounder with an equal amount of time spent sport fishing by live baiting for mighty cobia or shark, or trolling for trophy rockfish (stripers, striped bass), bluefish or Spanish mackerel. You might enjoy harvesting fine table fare such as tautog (blackfish), spadefish or sheepshead from artificial reefs, wrecks and other structure. Some folks enjoy our sport fishing charters that target speckled trout, red drum (redfish) or salt water stripers (striped bass, rockfish) on light tackle by casting lures along the grass bottomed shoreline flats.
